June 30, 2025 | Bellevue, Wash. — DASH (Downtown Action to Save Housing), the affordable housing affiliate of Transforming Age, has closed on the acquisition of a key commercial office site near Downtown Bellevue. This strategic investment marks a major milestone in a transformative, 10-acre master plan to create and preserve affordable housing for older adults in one of the region’s most sought-after areas.
The site will become part of EverGlen Village, a visionary, mixed-use community designed to set a new standard for affordable living. Once complete, EverGlen Village will provide affordable homes for more than 1,000 senior households and foster a dynamic, intergenerational neighborhood enriched with public gathering spaces, arts and culture, wellness amenities, and mission-aligned community organizations.
Anchored in the heart of Bellevue’s highly walkable Wilburton neighborhood and walking-distance to the new Light Rail Station, EverGlen Village will reimagine what’s possible for community and connection in urban spaces. The project builds on recent upzoning changes by the City of Bellevue and reflects a bold response to the region’s urgent affordable housing crisis.
Though still in the early stages of development, this acquisition significantly expands the footprint for EverGlen Village and enables DASH and its partners to scale their vision for a vibrant, inclusive community where people of all ages and backgrounds can thrive.
