October 8, 2025 – Bellevue, WA — Transforming Age is proud to announce that the national nonprofit network has once again been awarded the Great Place to Work® certification, recognizing the organization’s ongoing commitment to fostering a people-centered culture grounded in purpose, connection, mission and shared values.

The certification follows an extensive 60-point survey of team members across all affiliates and reaffirms the strength of Transforming Age’s Culture of Excellence©—a guiding framework that unites more than 3,500 employees nationwide around a shared set of seven core values: integrity, teamwork, respect, grace, fun, innovation, and accountability.

“I’m incredibly proud of the culture we continue to build together at Transforming Age,” said Torsten Hirche, President and CEO. “Our Culture of Excellence© connects every team member—no matter their role or location—to our mission and to each other. Our mission, goals, values and standards of excellence shape how we serve, lead, and collaborate every day. This recognition reflects our people and the extraordinary energy they bring to transforming the experience of aging.”

Originally created by a cross-functional task force of team members, the Culture of Excellence© is more than a statement of values—it’s a daily practice woven into everything from leadership development and onboarding to how teams celebrate successes and navigate challenges. The pocket-sized booklet that defines the culture remains a touchstone across the organization, reminding team members to bring joy, integrity, and compassion to their work.

“This recognition reflects what we live and breathe every day,” said Karen Brandt, Senior Vice President of People. “The Great Place to Work® certification affirms what our people already know—that when we lead with our values, we create an environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and make an impact.”

The Great Place to Work® certification process evaluates key elements of the team member experience, including trust, purpose, and pride in their work. Results are based entirely on team member feedback and highlight a culture where employees feel their work has special meaning, their contributions matter, and they belong to something bigger than themselves.
