Bellevue, WA — September 15, 2025 — Transforming Age, a leading nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of older adults, is proud to announce the appointment of Andrew Minear as its new Chief Advancement Officer. With more than 20 years of leadership in philanthropy, fundraising, and nonprofit advancement, Minear will guide Transforming Age’s development strategy to expand resources, partnerships, and philanthropic investment that meet the growing needs of an aging society.
Minear brings extensive experience from his leadership roles at Montlake Futures, the University of Washington, and the YMCA of Greater Seattle, where he successfully directed multi-million-dollar campaigns, built national donor networks, and secured transformative gifts to expand community impact.
Throughout his career, Minear has raised more than $250 million in philanthropic support, expanded donor engagement nationally, and led capital campaigns that built facilities and services serving thousands of families and communities.
“What excites me about joining Transforming Age is the opportunity to lead development efforts at a time when demographic shifts are reshaping our society,” said Minear. “I was drawn to this role because of Transforming Age’s bold commitment to creating solutions that empower older adults and redefine what aging can look like. Philanthropy has a critical role to play in making that vision a reality.”
In his role as Chief Advancement Officer, Minear will lead Transforming Age’s fundraising and advancement efforts nationwide, driving investment in housing, wellness, and supportive services that improve the lives of older adults across the country.
