
Bellevue, WA — August 14, 2025 — Transforming Age, a leading nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults, is proud to announce that Mark Erickson has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Market Rate Communities. Erickson brings more than 30 years of senior living leadership experience to the nonprofit’s senior team. In his new role, Erickson will oversee operations for the organization’s market rate communities and lead initiatives to enhance resident experiences, team performance, and operational excellence.
Erickson has held transformative roles in the industry. He began his career with Erickson Senior Living, ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw 19 continuing care retirement communities serving over 20,000 residents and managing a $500 million annual budget. Under his leadership, Erickson implemented an enterprise-wide Six Sigma program and earned recognition from Fortune Magazine as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For.
Erickson later became Managing Director and COO for Fortress Investment Group’s Starcastle Senior Living in Shanghai, China, spearheading the company’s entry into the Chinese senior housing market. Most recently, as CEO and Executive Director of Summit Vista in Utah, he led the creation of the state’s first large-scale entry-fee Life Plan Community—a $750 million project that achieved high occupancy, national workplace recognition, and exceptional staff retention.
