Bellevue, Wash. (June 1, 2026) – Transforming Age has entered into a strategic management partnership with the Odd Fellows Home of California (OFHC), marking a significant expansion of its national platform and deepening its commitment to serving older adults. Transforming Age, through its business services affiliate GSI, will assume third-party management of two established Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs): Saratoga Retirement Community in Saratoga, California, and The Meadows of Napa Valley in Napa, California. Both communities are owned and governed by Odd Fellows Home of California, a nonprofit organization with a long-standing legacy of senior care. Located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Saratoga Retirement Community is a 37-acre CCRC community offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing across 337 total residences. Set in the heart of wine country, The Meadows of Napa Valley offers a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing, across 351 total residences.
The Odd Fellows Home of California (OFHC) traces its roots to the late 19th century, when the Independent Order of Odd Fellows established its first home for aging members in 1896, fulfilling a commitment to provide care and security in later life. The organization relocated to Saratoga in 1912, where it has operated continuously for more than a century, and later expanded its reach with the acquisition of The Meadows of Napa Valley in 1992. Today, OFHC is a nonprofit public benefit corporation that owns and stewards both communities in alignment with its enduring mission of service.
“This partnership is about more than management; it’s about a shared vision, values and mission,” said Torsten Hirche, CEO of Transforming Age. “The Odd Fellows Home of California is deeply rooted in history and purpose, and we are honored to come alongside OFHC to help strengthen their communities, support their growth, and ensure the OFHC mission continues to thrive for generations to come.”
The announcement comes at a pivotal moment for Saratoga Retirement Community, which recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a $101.7 million campus expansion—an investment that will modernize its historic 37-acre campus and introduce new residential offerings, amenities, and community spaces. With more than a century of history and sustained demand reflected in a growing waitlist, Saratoga continues to evolve to meet the needs of the next generation of residents.

Transforming Age’s role as a management partner is designed to support that evolution with a fully integrated platform, including operational expertise, shared services, and strategic planning capabilities. The organization will work alongside OFHC leadership to strengthen performance, enhance the resident experience, and ensure the long-term sustainability of both communities.
“This decision reflects our responsibility to both honor our legacy and position our communities for the future,” said Tony Delgado, Chairman of the OFHC Board. “Transforming Age brings the experience, values alignment, and strategic vision we were seeking in a partner, and we are confident this collaboration will benefit our residents, our team members, and our mission for years to come.”
Founded as a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the lives of older adults, Transforming Age is a national network of nonprofit affiliates dedicated to building a successful aging and health span solutions ecosystem across the socioeconomic spectrum that puts the older adult at the center. Transforming Age advances that mission through five mission spheres of housing, community services, partnerships, technology, and philanthropy. GSI, Transforming Age’s business services affiliate, continues to grow its third-party management and development partnerships, supporting nonprofit senior living organizations with integrated operational expertise, shared services, and strategic guidance nationwide. This network approach emphasizes not only operational excellence, but also a broader commitment to transforming the perception of age and supporting communities in thriving for generations to come.
Together, Transforming Age and OFHC will advance a shared vision: honoring the legacy of these communities while positioning Saratoga and The Meadows of Napa Valley for continued growth, innovation, and impact in the years ahead.
