April 28, 2024 – Sioux Falls, SD – The Parkwood is celebrating the grand opening of their 133-unit 55 plus community on Thursday, May 2nd in partnership with the Souix Falls Chamber of Commerce and Mayor’s Office. The formal ribbon-cutting event will mark the culmination of this highly anticipated community, which was designed with the vision to bring a new kind of independent living to Souix Falls, offering premier accommodations and lifestyle amenities, high-end services, strong community connections, and maintenance-free living. The Parkwood began preleasing units in 2023 and has experienced strong interest from local residents looking to downsize and residents from out-of-state, looking to return home or relocate closer to family.
GSI and its stakeholder team serve as The Parkwood’s developer, property manager, and co-owners in partnership with financial partners. GSI is a proven management team with over 40 years of senior living management and development experience and proud affiliate of Transforming Age, a leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to creating unlimited possibilities to enhance the lives of older adults. The campus was completed using Omaha-based Ronco Construction.
